Architect Frank Lloyd Wright had a strong influence on the architecture of the first half of the 20th century. This volume presents the range of Frank Lloyd Wright's work and shows how his view of the world was a common factor in all of his varied architecture.  From early prairie houses, to the Guggenheim Museum in New York, Frank Lloyd Wright saw man as the focal point of an architecture closely bound up with nature.

Bruce Brooks Pfeiffer joined the Taliesin Fellowship in 1949, where he worked as an apprentice of Frank Lloyd Wright.  He also studied for a year at the Ecole nationale des Beaux-Arts in Paris.  Pfeiffer was the founding director of the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation Archives, where he catalogued collections of Wright’s drawings, manuscripts, letters, and other documents.  Through his work with the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation Archives, and as an author and editor of more than 50 works about Wright and his architecture, Pfeiffer was a sustaining force in ensuring that the legacy of Wright’s work and words would continue to be available to future generations.
