Westport Book Sale Awarded $10,000 Grant from Fairfield County's Community Foundation

Westport Book Sale Ventures, Inc. was recently awarded a $10,000 grant from Fairfield County’s Community Foundation, to support its employment program for adults with disabilities in 2022.

Westport Book Sale Ventures’ mission is to provide meaningful employment for adults with disabilities, while raising support for the Westport Library, through used book sales. Its nonprofit Westport Book Shop, located in downtown Westport at 23 Jesup Road, presently provides part-time employment and job and workplace skills training for nine individuals with differing abilities.

“Grants like this help provide the means to offer competitive employment and job training for a segment of our community that is greatly underserved. We are very grateful to Fairfield County’s Community Foundation for supporting our mission,” said Jocelyn Barandiarán, President of Westport Book Sale Ventures.
