The Westport Book Shop is pleased to welcome local artist Julie Leff as guest exhibitor for the month of November 2022, at the Book Shop’s Drew Friedman Art Place.
Julie is exhibiting four vibrant, photorealistic oil paintings with a floral motif.
"I paint for myself — for my love of color and form — but in a way that invites others to discover the beauty I see in the world,” said Julie.
Julie studied art at Yale University and at the Silvermine Guild of Artists. Her work has appeared in numerous solo and group shows, most recently at Art/Place in Fairfield. Julie is a member of the Artists Collective of Westport, WestonArts, and Art/Place.
You can see the exhibit of Julie's work at the Westport Book Shop, located at 23 Jesup Road, right across Jesup Green from the Westport Library. The art exhibit is open to the public during the Book Shop’s regular business hours: Sundays and Mondays from Noon to 5pm, Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10am to 6pm.
Julie's artwork will be on display through November 30, 2022. All artwork on exhibit is available for purchase. Also available are boxes of notecards with twelve different images of Julie's floral oil paintings.
The Book Shop’s “Drew Friedman Art Place” is an area of the store dedicated to exhibiting the work of community artists year-round, on a rotating basis. Miggs Burroughs, a Trustee of the Drew Friedman Community Arts Center, and a founding member of The Artists Collective of Westport, is curating the Book Shop's art exhibits, which change monthly.
